Signing Off

Some of my friends are in the UK (soon heng and wee kang ), one is in New Zealand (sheu sheng), one is in the Phillipines (kai yuan), one is going to Russia (banana ong)... Seems the Atlantiz gang has expanded overseas...

Myself? Not really far... Going to KK, Sabah tomorrow morning, 9.00am, MAS
, KLIA.

Feel a little excited now to be honest. Have been waiting for this day for a long time. Mount Kinabalu seemed such a distance from me (and the Atlantiz gang) growing up. Well, I'll be the speciment and check it out first.

God bless my trip...

Road towards the climb (3 months of gym)

Will update when I get back next monday.

Take care all friends...

Signing off ~~~ For 1 week.

End of Internship

3 months...

How time flies...

How things turned out...

How people changed... For the better of course...

What a fool I was... Unwilling to face the fact that time changes things.

~~~
I had an eventful 3 months internship... Really learned a lot.
Not sure I'll miss the big stuffs here though
The most important thing I learned, would be about life. Inevitably, everyone has their own hitches in life. And that we've to pick ourselves up no matter what...
~~~

According to company's agreement, pictures taken are private and confidential. But, I'll share some pictures I took (for you guys reading my blog), as a conclusion of my 3-months stint there. All in the name of photography art.

Last day at work

HRSG boiler stack

Dawn

After the sun set last friday, I am now entering my Final Year, in Uniten. Still can't really come to terms with the fact!

Will make good use of my uni days left

A big thank you to EVERYONE AT GSP, including all my managers, supervisors, engineers, admin clerks, technicians, my fellow trainee mates, and so on, who were always helpful, kind and patient with me.. It's an experience never again. I'll cherish the days we spent together.

Ps1: Finally got my guitar string from Metro Kajang...
Ps2: Can''t wait to go Kota Kinabalu next wednesday! Hope everything turn out as planned.

The Climb - KK

I can almost see it
That dream I’m dreaming but
There’s a voice inside my head saying,
You’ll never reach it...

Every step I’m taking,
Every move I make feels
Lost with no direction
My faith is shaking but I...

I gotta keep trying

Gotta keep my head held high...

There's always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be an up-hill battle
Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose
Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side

It's the climb

The struggles I’m facing
The chances I’m taking

Sometimes might knock me down but
No I’m not breaking

I may not know it

But these are the moments that
I’m gonna remember most...

Just gotta keep going
And I, I gotta be strong
Just keep pushing on...
------

Climbing the highest peak in South East Asia doesn't mean anything. But climbing my life's highest peak, that means the world...

The ferrata - Wanted to try this, but cost 500++

It's the climb

Ps: First time blogging during work. Presentation done yesterday for my GM. Industrial training coming to an end soon...

Climbing Bukit Saga, Cheras

This post should've been up like 1.5 months ago... But at least it's late than never.

Last month, I went up Bukit Saga, at Ulu Langat (where small genting is) along with dai lou Chia Ming. It was a trip organized by his Buddhist Assoc. group, from Kajang I think.

I didn't think twice when he asked me to join. Moreover, my daily activities then (and now) are looking at GTs, Boilers, Cooling Towers, Pumps, Motors, Reservoirs, Lagoon....

We met up at around 8 in the morning down the hill foot.

Doing some briefing and warm up

It took us around 3 hours for the whole trekking.

Go go go!

Isn't really tough though

It was a Sunday, and there were quite some folks going up and down the hill. I thought it was a good morning exercise.

In fact, you can bring your pet up too...

We had some rest at mid way.

It's hard to find a place like this in the middle of the city!

All mountain climbers and adventure joiners only

There are tents set up by volunteers

After trekking around 1.5 hours, we reached the "water fall", which is considered the final destination.

Kind of dissappointed though, as I expected a bigger one. But coming to think of it, we can't expect the hill to be something like those in Gunung Tebu or Berembun in Terengganu right?

And that the water stream were quite clean and clear.

Sze Hao, Biao Ge and me... Goodness, they are the wackiest lot in the juggle (of course with Chia Ming)... Really a lot of funny people is this world

Water

Who curi-ambil this picture?

Someone fall down the waterfall?

No wonder they are from Buddhist Assoc.

With us at the spot were another family (a few uncles and their children, I assume). They were CAMPING up there, cooking, and reading newspapers!!! Such a nice family to have!

These 3 girls were having quite a meal up there

They will cherish these trips when they grow up. Nowadays, youngsters shunt all these activities. They rather play Dota or watch dramas in their comfort home.

Yup, the water is clean enough for drinking and cooking

We started our journey down hill and reached at the foothill around 3pm.

So it was a good outing

I should organize a climb when semester starts.

Anybody want to join the climb?

It was also a kind of mild training for me before I climb Mt Kinabalu early next month (I actually wore slippers up Bukit Saga, which is quite dangerous). I have been putting myself through the sets and cycles at the gym at my work place. I've trained hard. Hopefully I can reach the peak of Kinabalu.

Can't wait to go K Kinabalu

Wee Ern gets Chemical Engineering – UM

Wee Ern is my younger brother (by 3 years), who plays Dota and basketball better than me (although at one time I was better)...

I was eating my packed dinner after work when mom called and told me about the good news.

Man I was ecstatic!

Coming to see it, it was an effort that paid. 1.5 years ago I insisted that mom try her best and get my brother a place in Matrikulasi, the government’s own pre-U program, which is normally offered to Bumis. He wanted to do form 6.

To be honest I didn’t really know about the “goodness” of Matrikulasi 4 years back after my SPM. I would’ve taken the same route too. I wanted my brother to learn from my mistake and what I missed.

At least I can proudly say that my bro gets in to UM and did what I can’t do.

Matrikulasi has been a rather easier way to local universities (and a little unfair). Anyway, imagine 10 years from now, nobody will ask what or where you did your pre-U, but what degree you hold.

So for my dear brother to have a recognised engineering degree from UM (although there are more better ones overseas), I feel really contented and happy. Hope he does well, and achieve more than I had (I know, I didn’t achieve much yet)!

Just in a coi

I grew up wanting to spend my undergrad days in UM (although some of you may argue it’s been long passed its prime). But UM is still UM. The history is forever marked and craved.

Grandma wanted me to go there so much, before she left when I was in Form 3, like what my eldest cousin Wee Kee did, and that he is very successful nowadays.

Of cause at the end it’s up to our own effort and endeavour…

Hope my bro will take this opportunity and be successful in the future!

Ps: I am now training under Miss Regina, a chemical engineer at GSPP. She is in-charge of the water treatment plant and Cooling Tower (They are really interesting - Back to my favourite chemistry days!). I learned a lot from her. Just in a coincidence, after our discussion just now, she was asking whether I regret not doing chemical engineering, as I said chemistry is interesting. I didn't think so, and added that I hope my brother will get it! Was it an omen?

Riding in the Rain

It has been a long time since I rode my bike in the rain…

It was a feeling that had eluded me for a long time.

At an instance, I reminisced the days I stayed in campus, the days I ride my bike to class every morning without fail regardless of rain or shine, or riding to the nearest Commuter Station (Serdang Station) to get myself to KL, the days where life was much simpler.

Nowadays I touch my bike like once in 3 weeks.

And that’s only when I go out for lunch or dinner, when I am alone at home, to some nearby food outlets.

It has been raining the whole day…

I went out for dinner when the sky was clear after the whole day’s downpour. To be honest I welcomed it as the haze has been torturing my nostrils for the pass few days.

I reluctantly declined to join Cheun Hang, Karen and co for Satay Kajang and (some bling bling at) Laundry Bar, The Curve tonight in order to do my presentation slides. Next Friday, I am supposed to give a presentation on my internship to my GM and colleagues at GSP. To say that I am unworried will be a lie. I had to buck up after spending the whole day doing nothing.

Frankly, I can’t find the motivation and confidence that once brought me far. Some things are unexplainable…

On the way back after dinner, I was really surprise to get caught in a heavy rain... Had to stop at a petrol station nearby to put on my rain coat.

I was totally wet… Inside out.

I allowed myself to travel down memory lane. Flashing back at things that happened, that passed me by.

Time flies... It has been a long time.

The feeling of riding in the rain, seems so familiar, yet so far away…
